The major school changes and rezonings have allowed the DOE to remove or begin removing all but one set of Transportable Classroom Units across the Bronx as of the 2021-2022 school year. Developed and implemented over twenty proposals to restructure schools through re-siting, closure, or consolidation. These changes ensured the budgetary sustainability of schools, provided access to badly needed District 75 special education seats, and allowed for the construction of new capacity to relieve overcrowding.
