With my entrepreneurial aspirations, hunger for success and desire for financial freedom - in March 2019, a university friend and I launched our first business called Husky London. We have always had a passion for high end fashion, and felt that it was the right time for us to enter the luxury headwear market with products we believe will be a huge success.We have been successfuly trading for a year now, and have excelled all goals and achieved more than we expected. In October 2019, we featured in the highly reputable Mens GQ A/W magazine which reached an expected output of 300,000 print readers and 1.4 million online readers. We have now sold out of 7/10 hats, and have successfully appointed a number of well known premier league footballers and reality TV stars to represent Husky London as brand ambassadors.This process has allowed me to significantly develop my business skills and has enabled personal growth. Running a business alongside my studies and full-time job has helped me improve my organisational and time management skills and much more besides.

As part of my degree at Loughborough University, I decided to work for Kier Group on my industrial placement year. I took upon the role of Assistant Design Manager, whereby I worked very closely with my Senior. We began working on the Charter School East Dulwich which was an educational sector project, whereby we managed the design process from RIBA stage 3 to 5. During this time we worked closely with our consultants and client in to providing an easy and smooth running process from start to finish. Here I took upon the role of managing the RFI process, and teaching members of the project how to use the digital technology we now use internally and externally to store complete project information; such as, drawings, survey consultants and questions raised on software like 4Projects. During the second half of my placement, I was allocated onto another job in the residential sector called Moxon Street, which was located in Central London and was the building of Luxury accommodation. As I joined during the early stages, it was my duty to offer consultants the opportunity to tender for numerous survey's that needed to take place on our site before construction began. Once the consultants responded with their fee proposals, it was my responsibility to analyse each consultant (3 per survey) and to choose the most appropriate company based on their scope of works and fee proposal. I also met numerous consultants and sub-contractors on site to discuss future plans and work that needed to take place; here I began to improve my interpersonal skills as it was my personal duty to make sure I represented Kier in a positive and professional manner.

This role involved serving food and beverages to pupils and staff, cash handling on the checkout, setting up and waitering at private functions, dealing with customers’ orders and requests, and working efficiently within a team in a fast paced environment.
