* Responsible for assigning and dispatching operators to fleet units and routes.* Monitor and respond to operators, coordinate with the Operations Center Team and Supervisors.* Meet safety and on-time performance targets.* Monitor and immediately respond to route, fleet and operator issues making sure service delivery requirements are met.* Process and transmit information and instruction to co-ordinate the activities of operators, and fleet units using a variety of computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment.* Plan routes and prepare necessary paperwork for sound deliveries.* Help create trucking routes that keep costs down but meet customer scheduling needs* Provide update to customers referent to loads and shipment issues* Address problems and requests by transmitting information and/or providing solutions
