The Chemelot Traineeship is a program which consist of a 85% working and 15% learning distribution that lasts 2 years. The working segment is realized by participating in various projects within different companies located on the Chemelot area in Geleen. The learning segment is fulfilled by attending several courses focussed on self-development and other relevant training sessions.

Created a logistics overview in which all transportation streams from, to and on Chemelot are enclosed of the 6 largest site users. Based on this logistics overview, the total current emission amount of greenhouse gasses (tons per km) can be calculated. This logistics overview will serve as the basis for developing a more sustainable transportation network that needs to be realized in 2030. This project contributes to the ambition of Chemelot to be the most safe, sustainable and competitive site of Western-Europe by 2025.

Optimized processes and workflows accompanied by all-round contribution and support to ensure a bright future for the Business Unit Environmental Permitting. I worked on several projects such as: 1) Constructing an “as-is” and, subsequently, “lean” flowchart of the work processes related to sales, quotations and invoices. 2) Developing new business (activities) and commercializing existing business (activities). 3) Developing commercial quotations to ensure standardization and a strong Business Unit brand. 4) Developing and implementing more suitable hourly (sales) fees. 5) Making the administrative procedures more transparent and easy to do.6) All round contribution and support to the Manager and colleagues of the Business Unit. Examined all processes regarding the procurement, storage, activation and administrative procedures for the catalysts used at the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Factories in Europe Site Geleen. Developed new and optimal processes to acquire a more sustainable and efficient catalyst workflow. The projects I worked on were related to: 1) Value-Stream mapping of the entire catalyst workflow including Threats and Oppertunities. 2) The Full Automation, and Seggregation of Duties, of the catalyst planning for all HDPE Factories.3) Construction of a Project Motivation that, when implemented, greatly contributes to the Value, Reliability and Safety of the HDPE Factories.4) The Establishment of a Catalyst Workforce Group to ensure workflow efficiency. 5) All-round contribution to daily activities such as supporting the operation engineers and factory operators.This project is part of the Chemelot traineeship trajectory.

Procure to Pay: Optimization | Implementation | Simplification.Developed new and optimal processes to acquire a more sustainable and efficient procure to pay process. The projects I introduced were related to: 1) The introduction of a new purchasing channel (credit card utilization).2) The automation of the hiring staff process & the pro-forma billing process. 3) The establishment of a collaboration between Sourcing & Legal in order to achieve higher quality and faster lead-time purchase orders. 4) The introduction of new developed trainings regarding procure to pay & procuration. All these projects contribute to: The reduction of processing costs & waste, the reduction of workload & lead-time to buy, empowerment of the end-user and creating awareness.
