Current. responsible for evaluating and monitoring each patient’s progress, responding quickly to physiological changes and ensuring a safe and positive patient health outcome.• prioritises delivery of excellent patient care and safety in an efficient and timely manner.• providing comprehensive patient assessment and delivery of patient centered care• assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in collaboration withindividuals and the multidisciplinary health care team.• being able to make swift and sophisticated judgements on patients’ needs,• communicating clearly with patients and their families and providing support and educationto patients and families• perform initial work-up includes collecting information and documenting clearly aboutpatient’ presenting complaint, primary survey, medical history, allergies, medications andnext of kin information, performing baseline vital signs, GCS, ECG, neurological andneurovascular observation.• perform further patient work-up: intravenous cannulation, venepuncture, continuouscardiac monitoring, secondary assessment or focused assessment based on patient’presenting complaint.• commence treatment as guided by the doctor such as analgesia, IV antibiotics, IV therapy,wound dressing etc…
