Primary Responsibility:-Manage Military Contract, Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) Southern California. -Pre-inspection for all DLA waste pickups, Identify waste containers, properly label and marking in accordance to waste stream-Arrange Logistic for pickup and trans to disposal facility-Pull samples, follow chain of custody protocol-Overlook all management service orders (Industrial job scopes), clarifier cleanups, Oil Transport and sump cleanupsOther Responsibilities:-Response to both municipal and private sectors in emergency spill response; oil, gasoline, diesel, acid, and traffic rollover-Manage all aspect of the project; contain spill, minimize environmental contamination, collect waste using proper method (Excavating,Vacuum Trucks),pressure wash impacted area and handle waste from cradle to grave.-Waste Characterization, Lab Pack, Waste Consolidation-Site supervisor in jobs for Cal Trans spill call outs, So. Project Manager – Refinery AccountsResponsibilities include:• Direct management of all activities corresponding to environmental aspects in the refinery.• Management of generated waste and ensuring proper handling, labeling, tracking, manifesting and disposal of waste. • Coordination of all logistics to disposal facilities and collection programs, this included both liquids and/or solids of bulk / non-bulk waste streams and consolidation of compatible waste. • Environmental audits of hazardous storage area (Haz Pad) at all Tesoro’s Plants (L.A. Refinery, Sulfur Plant, Sales Terminal and Marine Terminal).• Management of AQMD Rule 1166 Notifications, Monitoring and Log ins of Volatiles Organic Vapors (OVA)• Manage spill cleanups pressure washing, containment, minimize environmental impact, excavations and proper notifications to Federal, State and/or Local agencies if applicable.• Management and implementation of safety procedures and practices. • Strategic environmental planning for refinery unit shutdowns such as…. waste collection, manpower, equipment, transportation, containers, estimates and budgeting• Direct and complete responsibility of managing an integrated team of operational professionals inclusive of and representing unique operational areas of expertise• Developing, training, and leading individual technicians and operational teams towards achieving all client results/goals such as safety measures, timelines, budgeting and environmental initiatives.• Building/maintaining a culture of expense management orientation by educating operational teams, building creative cost- effective solutions and meeting expense goals.
