Below is a listing of previous and current work experience / voluntary roles I have been a part of and the skills I learned from the roles:IT Technician: May 2014 – June 2014. One month Work Experience Bishop Justus Church of England School, Kent Responsibilities: ● Demonstrating an understanding of unfamiliar systems by managing a student log-in system and assisting students with their logins by appending their changed data to the database. ● Dedication to a routine checking of every computer within the educational facility to make sure nothing was faulty. ● Taking on student enquiries, there was a lot of variety in the enquiries, ranging from a computer component not working, to the staff member in the class’ projector / computer being non-functional.General IT Support: September 2019 - Ongoing. Voluntary assistance every Monday at the Horsham Job Centre Plus WISH Club run by Richard Brooks.Responsibilities:● Setting up / putting away laptops whilst following health and safety procedures with the power pack wires, by keeping them under desks to prevent customer and other staff tripping hazards.● Assisting customers with a variety of IT related queries they have, including extra support for customers with reading disabilities or lack of computer experience.● Devising solutions for commonly occurring problems to prevent as much downtime as possible, allowing customers to make optimal use of their time at the WISH club.Additionally as part of my degree I have a good understanding of conducting user research tests including gathering feedback efficiently and eye tracking tests for software feedback.Some of my personal interests and other minor achievements include:● I have obtained a certificate. for 2nd Grade Japanese language studies. ● I enjoy Japanese culture, architecture and the more technologically modern atmosphere. I also have an interest in Japanese media. ● I would like to continue studying the language and the culture in the future.● I have a very keen sense for bug/glitch finding in programs, as well as providing necessary critique to friends and clients on how to improve the work to close to perfection. ● I enjoy playing video games in my spare time, I believe they are a good platform to de-stress and relax as well as being fun to play. My favorite game genre are RPGs.
