At the request of the Executive Director Engineering and Maintenance provided SME advice regarding the health of track assets the their performance in delivering safe and reliable train services to greater Sydney.

Responsible for the 1 to 10 year asset management plans for the fixed infrastructure and rolling stock assets maintained by Sydney Trains under the Transport cluster model with Sydney Trains as the operator and maintainer of those assets.

* Providing assistance, advice and mentoring to new employees of the Asset Management Division from the General Manager to level 5 at the request of the Maintenance Director* Scoping and delivering projects to meet the new direction being set by the new Divisional management team

* Leading a team with diverse skills and responsibilities to manage delivery of design and field delivery resources, material, plant and specialist wagons to support the delivery of the MPM program for RailCorp, the Capital program for TfNSW and external party works.* Negotiate with operational stakeholders for access to assets to meet project delivery stakeholder delivery milestones taking into account impact to the customer.* Providing advice on the deliverability of the asset management plans considering availability of critical resources and possession constraints, review safety, reliability and efficiency of possession works,identify and implement actions to improve performance.

* Accountable for the delivery of the response to an external request for tender the construction of ARTC's Stage 3 track works for the SSFL. The first occasion RailCorp had tendered for external work in 10 years.

* Led and managed a team of 310 professional, trade, non trade and clerical staff in the consistent delivery of projects up to a yearly value of $185m, meeting budget, time and cost milestones.* Led and managed a team of 60 staff in the maintenance of the specialist track maintenance and construction equipment.* Led and managed a team of 100 staff managing internal businesses involving quarry products, rail fabrication , timber products and ballast recycling products. Each of these businesses consistently met revenue targets.* Led the development of the asset management plan for major plant, specialist rail support wagons.

* Led and managed 900 multi disciplined internal staff and external contractors delivering the MPM and Capital works program involving the civil, signals and electrical disciplines to a total budget of $225m.

* Led the SRC unit that provided planning, maintenance and project resources in the delivery of contracts in an alliance relationship with Rail Access Corporation.* Managed specific engineering maintenance teams comprising 500 staff providing routine maintenance resources to 2 Metro regions and the delivery of the track projects in the MPM program across the Metro region.

* Led the Metro South region and managed a team of 1200 internal and contract multi discipline personnel delivering the routine maintenance, major periodic maintenance and Capital works to the Rail Access Corporation for the City Underground and Sydney South bundles. The 2 contracts generated revenue over $100m. Met the KPIs set under the Deed of Agreements.

*Managed the delivery of the routine maintenance program across the track, civil, electrical and signal engineering disciplines in the Inner West/ CBD area involving 300 staff and to a budget of $80m per year. Provided safe and reliable infrastructure for the customers.

* Managed a team of civil and track maintenance specialists in the delivery of the routine maintenance programs in the West and South regions.* Instrumental in the development and implementation of the track reconstruction program in the Blue Mountains and the Inner West. The latter in conjunction with a bridge renewal and overhead wiring upgrade projects.
