Current senior at Michigan Technological University pursuing a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Alternative Energy Technology. Seeking full time job as I graduate in the spring. Willing to move anywhere, preferably in the northwest region of America.At Michigan Tech, I have been apart of the MTU Four Wheelers for my entire time up here. This club entails taking older 4x4 vehicles into the woods of Houghton Michigan and seeing how capable they are through all sorts of terrain such as mud, rocks, and snow. With no service in the woods, if you get stuck or break down this has to be done on the trail. Trail side repairs are not uncommon and because of this we all work together as a team to get the vehicle running. As engineering school can be very book and simulation heavy, this club has helped me see the other end of the spectrum with how these designs work in the real world. Working on my 4x4 vehicle which is a Suzuki Samurai, it has made me a well rounded engineering. It has shown me that just because it works on paper doesn't mean it will work outside of that. Some of the work i have done on my samurai involves upgrading the gear ratio in the differentials and the transfer case, adding mechanical lockers to both differentials, adding aftermarket shocks and upgrading to a bigger tire size.
