I am currently attending the University of Guelph for Biomedical Sciences. While I am intrigued by many topics in healthcare, my primary interest lies in improving our understanding of the brain and learning more about the protocols we can follow to best optimize our mental and physical health.For the last 6 months before attending post-secondary, I worked at St. Michael's Hospital in downtown Toronto, amounting to around 290 hours. During the school year, I partook in a Medical Imaging Co-op program so I would spend my afternoon rotating between the MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine departments. In the summer I volunteered in the high patient volume Pediatrics, and Oncology Medical Daycare departments. I also am currently a Lifeguard at York University and Secondary-School Mathematics and Science tutor, and I have refereed hockey, and volunteered as a mountain bike instructor in the past. I am looking forward to bettering our understanding of the mind through research, and I hope that some of my efforts contribute to advancements in neurological health and psychological wellbeing.
