I work to improve resourcing services to the Military Family Caregivers of Wounded Warriors of all branches of service. I assist in coordinating and marketing Caregiver Forums for Caregivers and assist Caregivers and their families in any way I can.

Volunteer position as "Private Sector" board member, working with federal, state and local agencies to ensure that the maximum number of citizens become employed and stay employed. I am a strong advocate for US military veterans.

Provided VA Benefits Briefings and counseling to service-members who were transitioning to civilian life. Provided advice and assistance on VA benefits to active-duty, transitioning and veteran service-members.

As US Army Retired Veteran, I am serving the military by providing benefits briefings and individual assistance to personnel who are making the transition from military to civilian life. This work provides an entry point for veterans to begin to explore the many benefits available to them through the Veterans Administration. It points the way for them to take advantage of medical, housing, educational and other features that may not be readily apparent.I also provide individual assistance to transitioning servicemembers and veterans to ensure that they are taking full advantage of the VA benefits that they have earned. Additionally, I reach out into the broader community in which I live in an effort to find disabled and homeless veterans who are unaware of the new benefits available to them through VA. This includes providing "Military Life Cycle" type briefings to community and veterans organizations. This leads to more opportunities to assist individual veterans to make the connections necessary to improve their quality of life, including finding suitable employment.

Member of the board of CCSHRM. In this volunteer position, I was able to get to know and cultivate the professional friendship of many of the HR managers in Lee County, NC. I developed the contacts necessary to assist other in finding work and to provide good employment candidates to local plants and businesses in the area.

This included:-Interviewing Prospective Employers-Finding jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities-Writing Individual Employment Plans-Providing Job Coaching-Writing reports, compiling statistics-Reporting to and interacting with Vocational Rehabilitation counselors-Attending specialized and general training

GSNA operated a English, Computer and Small Business training center, as well as a Mobile Training Center, in Baku, Azerbaijan. We filled the gap left by poor training at local universities and also trained people who could not afford to go to university so that they could compete in the national and international marketplace.
