Student intern at Mental Health Association in Atlantic County. Successfully worked with clients as a peer support specialist, started and facilitated a virtual support group through UBW (United By Wellness), hosted a mental health related activity for local boarding home residents, collaborated with fellow interns to practice peer support techniques, and gained experience with utilizing documentation forms for facilitating peer support such as an in-depth service plan, service notes to document sessions and communication with clients, intake, referral, bill of rights, and release of information. Had experience using Canva to design virtual posters for some of MHA’s daily e-newsletters, as well as other posters and flyers that were needed. In addition, I had experience using Instagram reels to post educational mental health related content and videos to Mental Health Association’s social media pages.

As a student ambassador, I gave campus tours for prospective students and their families as well as special group tours for visiting high schools, helped prepare for and worked new student open houses, answered phone calls to the admissions office, and worked on other tasks for the admissions office including assembling admissions packets, bringing the mail to office staff, communicating with pro staff, and working on call campaigns.
