As an out and active queer; I enjoy using my 35+ years of first-hand personal experiences to help individuals, families, friends, organizations, workplaces etc. navigate the changing recommendations regarding appropriate language, healthcare, and the legal system as it pertains to queer and trans folx. Hopscotching though The LGBT alphabet and taking a label then rejecting it over and over all throughout my life, has led me to find purpose in helping others through situations that were scary and more difficult than they needed to be. Living outside the proverbial "closet" for over 37 years plus my work as a queer/trans activist with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence allows me to pull from multitudes of experiences and connections for use in my commitment to assisting others in finding their authentic identity and embracing it.
