I am working as a Field Service tech close to 8 years now.Starting in the slow, and medium speed Diesel engines, Yacht Automation, and Ship Boilers I have traveled quite a route to eventually end up at Navigation and Communication systems. From a young age, I have always shown a great interest in everything electronics, combine that with the Maritime industry, and a great view from the mast or bridge, and you can't go wrong. Therefore I am happy to call myself part of a great team at Wärtsilä GAI, here in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.Born in the Netherlands, and living in 3 different continents and various cities, travel has always run through my veins. And with a career choice that often calls for travel, I still look forward to exploring new corners of the world.In between service calls and when I'm not glued to my monitors finding out new ways to automate my life I enjoy some Kiteboarding here in Fort Lauderdale or on the Florida Keys, preferably from early morning until the sun goes down.
