I am responsible for managing the project team and ensuring that the supporting information, surveys and specialist consultants provide the key information to support planning applications. I am often running several projects concurrently and am required to take the lead on technical issues as they progress from the drawing board into construction on site.My technical background enables me to form strong relationships with clients and contractors so that I am able to resolve problems and work within tight timeframes. As a result of my expertise in working directly with contractors and on-site, I have recently expanded my role at Atomik to work within construction as a Design Manager. In this capacity, I review, liaise and coordinate the ambition of the client and original design team through to fruition.Throughout my career, I have accumulated substantial experience in working on residential projects, commercial fit-outs, refurbishment and education schemes. I have also worked across a range of sectors, including; education, healthcare, residential homes, mixed-use developments as well as retail and master planning.

STT work in a variety of sectors which help support and protect the poorest communities in and around Phnom Penh, providing advice on human rights issues, architectural solutions, detailed mapping and land rights documentation as well as acting as a voice for these otherwise unheard communities.Although my role within STT was to predominantly produce architectural solutions my role also encompassed the land mapping process and working alongside the human rights team to protect those who are vulnerable and in need giving me with the opportunity to understand the Cambodian culture and architectural process within it.Meeting with the communities provided me with a deeper understanding of the challenges they face and allowed me to experience a social side of architecture which I had not previously been involved in. Enabling families to have a voice and hope of a better future has been incredibly rewarding. I handled a number of projects in varying scales. A particularly interesting project I was heavily involved in since my time at STT has been the White Building - a complex and political project concerning the threatened displacement of some 2,500 residents. As well as providing architectural documentation I worked with the human rights team and fellow NGO's in providing feasible solutions to help save the building and secure the tenure for the residents of the building for an attainable vision of the future in these uncertain times.My time at STT has been extremely insightful and very fulfilling. Working in a third world environment has exposed me to the challenges, constraints and stark realities of life for many people which I hadn't fully appreciated. This first hand experience exposed me to new ways of thinking in a new and interesting side of architecture which I believe has helped my professional develop and progression.

My 10 years in practice have provided a solid base of experience across a broad spectrum of sectors from which I have developed my professional skillset. From domestic projects and medium to large scale developments, my current role includes the preparation of planning applications, production information packages, contract drawings and administration, as well as Client and team management.As an integral part of such a dynamic practice, I am offered both the responsibility of a senior member of the team while remaining embedded in the day to day coordination and direction of projects.Autonomy across small and medium scale projects has allowed me to establish relationships with key Clients and I have benefited from developing projects from the initial stages of feasibility through to completion.A combination of University studies and real-world Practice has ensured that my academic knowledge is grounded in practical application and continues to provide a truly rounded approach to my progression within the industry.
