I'm a documentary filmmaker with all-around skills as a producer/director/shooter/editor. While not hammering away on my own films, I work freelance as a director, video editor and shooter, mainly in the SF Bay Area. My second feature documentary was released in 2022, "The Assassination & Mrs. Paine," a true-crime-inspired historical film on the intriguing of connections of 85-year-old Ruth Paine to the JFK assassination. It played at film festivals around the world and won a couple awards, including Best Historical Documentary at the San Antonio Film Festival. It's distributed by Journeyman Pictures and is now available on VOD on Amazon, iTunes, etc. My first feature doc, "Vigilante Vigilante: The Battle for Expression," played on Netflix. It was an entertaining and enlightening exposé on the phenomenon of anti-graffiti vigilantes. Previously, I worked as assistant producer on the Academy Award-nominated documentary, "The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers." My short documentaries, including "Perpetual Ed and "Dry Season," have played at such festivals as the Sheffield Doc/Fest, the SF Docfest, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. I'm fascinated by marginal characters and provocative stories and my films aim to challenge comfort and complacency.
