*Responsible for developing business strategy across MA Exhibitions, which incorporates B2B exhibitions and confexes in healthcare, education, transport and engineering sectors.*Influencing, engaging and winning support for GHI development strategy (new launch events, staff development/recuitment, budgeting) from a board of C-suite company leaders including Group Chairman, CEO, FD and Divisional Director. *Creating and delivering board reports assessing P&L performance vs plan.

*Responsible for successful delivery of four flagship aviation conferences across Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa, which provide a forum for the world's aviation community to do business.*Growth and development of GSE Expo Europe in partnership with the board at IAEMA, the international airport equipment manufacturers' association. Leads creation of venue contracting, show features, visitor marketing, commercial sales, P&L. The expo attracts 130+exhibitors and 3500+ attendees.*Leadership of a high performing team of 10+ staff including sales directors/manager, operations directors/managers, marketing managers. Direct line management of commercial, operations and marketing heads.*Creating compelling conference programmes including writing paper descriptions, appointing relevant speakers and debriefing them on creating high impact presentations.*Public speaking and facilitation: introducing awards, hosting keynote industry debates with aviation CEOs on stage and a regular guest on aviation industry podcasts.*Building bespoke career development plans and ensuring their successful implementation.*Recruiting for new staff to aid the effective delivery of the GHI portfolio including creation of job specs, interviewing and on-boarding of successful candidates.*Working in partnership with aviation stakeholders to pioneer new launch events and features that add value to their attendance of GHI Conferences.

Shrewd eye for a story and inventive approach as News Editor (following promotions from Business Editor and Senior Reporter) powered Chemist + Druggist to multiple publishing award wins. Launched acclaimed brand-building initiative- the Chemist + Druggist Senate and coached and developed a team of award-winning reporters.

Cut my teeth as a reporter in the pub and drinks trade for weekly newspaper, The Morning Advertiser. Developed a specialism as Food Writer and became Deputy Editor on Pubchef magazine.
