At KPMG I contributed to the success of multiple projects and processes. One of my primary accomplishments was working with subject matter experts at a large state corrections organization to develop and implement a new prison management system. I facilitated meetings, documented key decisions and action items, and created reports and presentations to keep stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes. Additionally, I streamlined reporting processes, utilizing automation to reduce production time by a factor of five.In a separate role, I assisted in the ERAP claims process for a state agency, ensuring that missing documents were tracked down and every claim was processed thoroughly and efficiently. To maintain clarity and consistency, I created and shared documentation checklists and email templates. Finally, in support of quality assurance for our responses to a large state tolling agency's RFPs, in addition to editing responses, I synthesized existing documentation into a user-friendly wiki format for the PMO team. Through my experience, I have honed valuable skills in project management, communication, and process improvement.

In my role as an economics research assistant, I performed a variety of functions contributing to the development and publication of The Economics of Sports, a textbook written for undergraduate students. My contributions include providing edits and suggestions for 3 of 12 chapters in the new edition, as well as compiling data using popular articles to update tables and figures.Furthermore, I was responsible for performing literature reviews, utilizing EconLit and Google Scholar databases of recent econometric research related to sports. The focus of my review was on analyses of the cost overruns in recent Olympics. Through this experience, I gained valuable experience in the areas of economics research and writing. Additionally, I developed strong skills in data analysis and interpretation, literature review, editing, and collaboration.

At Cleveland State University, one of my key contributions was writing first draft Python software that communicated leg-sensor readings to an Arduino microcontroller and Raspberry Pi processor. This involved working with software and hardware components to ensure that sensor data was accurately transmitted and processed. My work was instrumental in developing an efficient and reliable software system that received and processed the necessary data, aiding in the functionality of the prototype.Through this project, I strengthened valuable skills in technical problem-solving, project management, and collaboration. I collaborated with the lead technologist to review comprehensive training materials with library staff. The objective of this project was to ensure the successful use of a new cataloging system and associated tablets.In my role, I had the opportunity to train 10 staff members to use the new system on tablets. My approach involved clear communication, active listening, and an empathetic and encouraging demeanor. I considered staff's varying learning preferences and abilities, tailoring my approach to cater to different individual needs.Throughout the project, I learned valuable skills in communication, training, and project management. My experience in training staff and helping them achieve learning outcomes will prove invaluable in any future role requiring the transfer of technical knowledge to non-technical stakeholders.
