I interviewed him when he committed to Pitt out of high school, covered him through college, and now enjoy watching him into his first job with the Miami Dolphins. I'll sum up Max like this--after a tough loss, he was the first player to step to the mic, look you in the eyes and tell you like it was. That's harder than a lot of people realize. My best memory of him was after a tough loss at Notre Dame, he wasn't even requested by the media after the loss--yet he came up to us, summed up his thoughts on a tough loss, and handled it as professional as anyone could. I'm excited to see him start off as a scout with the Miami Dolphins, and I have no doubt he'll climb to the top."
