I am a seasoned finance professional, and my career journey has broadly been a blend of robust financial expertise and a deep fascination with data and technology. I embarked on my professional path at KPMG in the Channel Islands, where I qualified as an accountant at an early stage. There, I focussed primarily on the finance sector, delving into work with banks, private equity, and listed funds. What consistently stood out in this phase was my keen interest in data and technology, where I was heavily involved in addressing intricate data/analytics challenges and tackled statistical sampling.Transitioning to retail banking with Skipton International, I grew into the role of Senior Manager of the Finance Team. This period marked a significant expansion of my responsibilities, notably in the "business solutions" domain. Here, I spearheaded core system migrations, the implementation of internet banking, and the design and construction of a comprehensive data warehouse. My role also entailed crafting and executing custom solutions to streamline key business processes.My journey then led me to Butterfield Bank where I took on the role of VP Head of Finance. In this capacity, I held a position on the Executive Committee of the Bank, was entrusted with the management of the finance team and the intricate tasks of managing liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and overseeing internal, external, and regulatory reporting.Currently, at HFL, I am immersed in harnessing data and systems.
