About Max Handler
I am the Head Mock Trial Coach at Cornell College. I have been involved with mock trial for roughly half of my life. I spent eight years in high school and college as a competitor, and I previously coached for five years at WashU and Wellesley College. I love getting the chance to build meaningful relationships with students as we work to develop their public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Prior to coaching full time, I ran an after-school program at East Boston High School and taught High School English in St. Louis. I graduated in 2018 from Washington University in St. Louis, double majoring in Political Science and Classics. I served as secretary of Eta Sigma Phi, the classics honorary society, and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honorary society.I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of journalism, writing, editing, and public speaking through my teaching and coaching. I am always looking to hear about new opportunities in these areas or to make connections to those who have similar passions.
