Senior Lab Manager for Dr. Charlotte Tate's Social Perceptions, Attitude, and Mental Stimulation Lab (SPAMS). Assists in participant recruitment, data collection, and data organization for current lab projects QTSAGES (bit.ly/infoqtsages). Coordinates lab availability between members and PI. Supports the lab members theses. SPAMS lab is currently collecting data on day to day experiences within the 2SLGBTQ+ community through personality measures.

As Infographic Lead Max, worked on a team of eight, collaborating on the creation and production of infographics of data collected by the QCARES Needs Assessment. Scheduling, organizing, and allocation of tasks to team. Queer Community Action, Research, Education, and Support (QCARES) is a community -based participatory action research team lead by Dr. Jay Bettergarcia. QCARES works with, and for the LGBTQ+ community of San Luis Obispo County to understand barriers to mental health care and seek solutions through research studies, training, education, and advocacy. Assisted Dr. Amber William’s in her developmental psychology research. Worked in the media lab exploring the relation between media intake of elementary school students and racial biases. Coded media for racial representation, recruited participants for the study, and reviewed scholarly articles. Also aided in her housing discrimination lab regarding racial biases in collaboration with Dr. Julie Bettergarcia and Dr. Carrie Lagner.

Supported first year students’ navigation of campus resources as well as educational programming on topics of leadership, independence, interpersonal skills, social change, career planning, and academic skills. Built community between residents on floor. Connected with students one-on-one to ensure safety, health, and support in their personal growth. Conducted community walks overseeing building for safety and security protocol.

Supervised children ages four to fourteen during camp activities. Created lesson plans and implemented creative developmental curriculum. Managed and trained counselors and volunteers to be compassionate, attentive, organized, and enthusiastic prospective teamworkers.
