About Max Hellman
I am interested in law, philosophy, and psychology. I have a passion for sentencing reform, constitutional law, and federal appellate law. Fighting civil rights abuses and reversing wrongful convictions are the true areas of law that I enjoy, in addition to representing Plaintiffs in Qualified Immunity cases.In the legal world, I plan to dedicate my life to fighting discrimination, police brutality, and prosecutorial misconduct. I am also interested in consumer protection law, mediation, and negotiations. In addition, I serve to protect the rights of those with less means because equal protection under the law for all persons is more important than making money. I seek fairness, dignity, and integrity for all my clients.I also plan to get a masters and/or Ph.D in clinical psychology and nueropsychology. I am interested in working with victims of trauma, particularly brain injury victims and those suffering from PTSD. I would also like to combine my legal experience with psychology, particularly how it relates to federal and state sentencing and sentencing reform. I love dogs, hiking, swimming, cycling, track driving, traveling, learning Spanish (currently), and helping others. I also enjoy writing comedy and performing stand up comedy, though I consider myself a failed stand up comic and continue only because laughing is one of the world's greatest gifts (and it's good for your health too). I also plan on starting a blog concerning information related to new research on concussions and Traumatic Brain Injuries, with the goal of creating a blog that will help those who have survived bad head injuries share their story and provide supportive information for others who have unfortunately suffered TBIs. Moreover, I hope to help others and spread love and joy to as many individuals as possible.
