I've loved working in this challenging role where I was appointed as a result of delivering consistently in previous roles. I'm accountabe for driving the launch and subsequent build out and growth of the Eminente Rum brand in the UK with total responsibility for every aspect of the luxury spirits brand. I mentioned total accountability and this is no exaggeration. I'm responsible for New Business Development, E-Commerce, On and Off Trade, Convenience, Grocery, Agency relationships and working with MHUK to launch then grow the brand. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic where many hospitality venues were forcibly closed, I was able successfully launch and then grow the brand predominantly seeding the brand underground through Cultural Infiltration. This was done through identifying key influencers and personalities in the creative world including rappers, artists, musicians, poets and many others. The plan (which succeeded) was to create a "best kept secret" and drive growth from the consumer through to the stockist. I'm currently tracking ahead of an already challenging budget and have managed to secure hundreds of distribution points across the UK including National Accounts such as Ocado and Majestic Wine. The brand is now in 90% of the UK’s Top Bars including the top 2 of the world’s best bars. This is because we created a word of mouth strategy within creative circles of influence, driving organic brand growth. I've loved being able to come up with and and successfully execute 2 Media Campaigns utilising laser targeted publications and platforms with matching demographics, namely Conde Nast Traveller and Suitcase magazine. As mentioned, the brand development strategy is bottom up, creating demand through consumer and customer engagement as part of a long term vision in a highly competitive marketplace.

This was predominantly an ambassadorial role with responsibility for Trade Education and Engagement, developing a strong On Trade Bar network, delivering commercial objectives for Belvedere, Hennessy, Ardbeg & Glenmorangie.I loved the fact that I was able to collaborate, develop and host Whisky workshops with the Glenmorangie and Ardbeg whisky creation teams, delivering exciting materials for MH Assemblage in the European bartender community. I personally developed and hosted the innovative Ardbeg Masters of Smoke programme in collaboration with Ardbeg Maison involving 120 bartenders in 6 cities, building Ardbeg advocacy and cocktail listings in top bars.I definitely played a pivotal role in increasing industry presence in Bar Shows and Cocktail weeks including Bar Covent Berlin, Imbibe, London & Edinburgh Cocktail Weeks, Cocktails in the City and The Whisky Show. In addition, I expanded and also hosted the Hennessy Paradis Imperial Art of Selection programme, involving high net worth individuals in the luxury casino channel, hosting curated dinners in partnership with Quintessentially. I also launched and hosted the new Belvedere Single Estate Rye Series event held over 3 days involving top influencers, trade guests, VIP guests and paying consumers experiencing cocktail tastings/workshops.

This was an incredibly exciting role, as a £1 Million+ budget holder, responsible for delivering the Brand and promotional plan to trade customers and consumers including event managing the delivery of the showcase Hennessy Gold Cup. During this time, we Increased sales of the Hennessy Prestige Range substantially, predominantly due to developing and implementing a partnership with Harrods involving POS, displays and promotional campaigns. I was able to deliver substantial like for like growth by creating digital campaigns to support the replacement of the old Hennessy Fine de Cognac with the new blend.I partnered with Tier 1 establishments (Gleneagles, Hedonism Fine Wines, Bulgari Hotel, Whatley Manor, Annabel’s, Zenith, Louis Vuitton and DeBeers), successfully promoting the Hennessy Ultra Prestige range, delivering substantial sales increases.

This was my first role with the Group, having major regional market responsibility for developing and delivering strategy in the London Bar sector, working with the full portfolio of champagne, wine and spirit brands. I developed and delivered a comprehensive Bar Channel Plan that maximised sales, profit and brand visibility in London bar accounts, focusing on a 3 tier structure: First (top), Second and Third tier. One thing I'm incredibly proud of is that I personally grew account numbers to over 300 from a base of 89, working hand in glove with the top 20 iconic London Bars including The Artesian, The Savoy, 5 Hertford Street, London Cocktail Club and more. Key deliverables included creating a flagship Moet Hennessy Cocktail Competition with the top 12 iconic London bars and implementing the Crazy Horse pop-up bar selling over 7,000 bottles.

I've always loved working hard and succeeding in whatever I do. This role was no exception. I was responsible for managing and growing account base from 26 to 111 accounts in the top modern trade outlets in London including Nobu, Zuma, Hakkasan, Maddox, Cuckoo, Soho House/Caprice Holdings. Key to success in this role was implemeting a shift in market proposition from Direct supply to Wholesaler managed. This returned the brand to best in class performance levels as we were able to implement pricing increases and deliver consistency.

This was my first "proper" Business Development role as I had previously worked in entry level or trainee roles. I succeeded in this position through a combination of persistence, a fierce determination to succeed and simple hard work. Success in this role led directly to my securing a role with my current employer where I have continued to succeed. Whilst working at Majestic Wine Warehouse, I delivered 200% of sales target, growing the business to over £1 Million which remains a Majestic Sales record to the present day.
