CurrentTreeLink grows, plants and cares for trees and woodlands and speaks up for trees in Stirling Council area.www.treelinkstirling.orgMax developed TreeLink Stirling's "Free Trees for Babies" project which offers free trees to families in the Stirling Council area with pre-school children (or in memory of a lost child) to plant in their garden. The project is sponsored by a locally based company Vivisol.Max also conceived and developed TreeLink Stirling's "Crown of Trees" project which aims to create a contiguous woodland around the City of Stirling and connect four woodland 'jewels in the crown' - Abbey Craig, Balquhidderock Wood, Gillies Hill and Craigforth. The "Crown" will also deliver a 36km walking route taking in the battlefield sites of Bannockburn (1314) and Stirling Bridge (1297) as well as other historical landmarks. Tree planting, woodland management, footpath improvement and interpretation will be part of the delivery of the "Crown". Engagement with landowners and involvement of local communities will be essential.
