Reviews all escalated claims and establishes a plan of action to achieve favorable claim resolution. Attends and facilitates meetings where claims and contracts are in dispute. Reviews claims status and action plans using advanced problem resolution skills. Provides ongoing status reports to customers and keeps stakeholders, executives, corporate counsel, and managers informed. Advocates, consults, and provides coverage advice to claims adjusters, claims management and customers as appropriate. Investigates, evaluates and negotiates resolution of the most complex claims in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices. Performs several claim audits/reviews. Hires and manages outside counsel for litigated matters or for where legal counsel is sought. Partners with the product development and marketing team to assist in the development of new service contracts and warranties and to make sure advertising aligns with actual product offering.
