Each project have numerous stakeholders with competing interests requiring strong negotiation skills to manage effectively. The following are a few examples of projects or programs that are, or have been executed recently. Between 8 to 12 projects would normally fall under my portfolio at any given time.- Mission Bridge Program includes load evaluation and major repairs of the Filled Spandrel Wall Arch (FSWA) type structure spanning over the Elbow River. Work also includes widening of the existing sidewalks, repairs of the adjacent 200m-long retaining wall and traffic intersection upgrade interfacing with the bridge structure. ($17.8M) - 4th Avenue Flyover major rehabilitation of the 400m-long single CIP post-tensioned concrete box girder bridge spanning over roadways and The Bow river. The scope also includes lighting improvement on the structure and the decommissioning of 5 adjacent high-mass lighting poles. ($12.5M)- Major repairs of the 5th Avenue Flyover bridge (over The Bow River) involving post-tension cable rehabilitation and bridge capacity upgrade. ($10.3M)- Crowchild Trail Improvement consisting of adding a driving lane to 3 existing bridge structures over roads, railway and the Bow River. ($65.0M)- Rehabilitation of 3 additional bridges from the ones included in the Crowchild Trail Improvement project scope. Road barrier upgrade, new bearing design and installation, bridge deck repair and wearing surface replacement. ($10.0) - 16th Avenue over Crowchild repairs of the bridge substructure severely delaminated and affecting the pre-tensioning component of the precast girders. Scope includes concrete repairs and reinforcement (CFRP) of the girders. Wearing surface and expansion joint are also being replaced part of this project with the addition of a driving lane. ($2.5M)

Work includes the installation of 1,089 concrete drilled piers approximately 14.5 meters long using casing, and plant site rough grading.Project Engineer - Imperial Oil Kearl Oil Sands Pumphouse ($100M) Construction of a pumphouse on the bank of the Athabasca River in the region of Fort McMurray using a 14 circular cell cofferdam. High walls formwork design and soil stability analysis was required. Project Controls Lead - Imperial Oil Kearl Oil Sands Rough Grading ($650M) Rough grading of the Kearl oil extraction project lease in the Fort McMurray area by clearing hundreds of hectares of forest and by removing thousands of cubic meter of topsoil, muskeg and common material (51M m3). Several heavy haul roads were also built.Civil Engineer - Husky Energy Sunrise SAGD ($25M) Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study for the construction of an oil extraction plant in the Fort McMurray area using SAGD technology.Lead Concrete/Piling Field Engineer - MEG Energy SAGD Phase 2 ($30M) The second phase of this project is extracting 35,000 bbls/day of bitumen using the SAGD technology. Five wellpads were constructed along with the main plant site facilities.Concrete Field Engineer - CNRL Horizon Foundation ($50M) Construction of the power generation (CoGen), water treatment and steam generation foundation for the overall plant.
