Together with 2 friends I started Webleon. We noticed that a lot of businesses had a website with a basic template. We felt that these businesses deserved a websites which best embodies them. At Webleon our most important rule is to meet and understand the client so that we can create the best possible website. At Webleon I spend my time on the general business vision, managing the projects and creating software solutions when necesarry.

Project MARCH aims to improve the quality of life of people with a spinal cord injury by building a robotic motorised suit, also known as an exoskeleton. As Chief Engineer, I am end-responsible for the technical quality of the entire system: the software, the electrical en embedded system, and the mechanical design. This often means weighing technical decisions in a team of more than 20 engineers in order to overcome technical, logistical and safety problems. In just one year we design, build and test a functioning exoskeleton together with our paraplegic pilot. Besides guiding the design process and overseeing the building and testing of the exoskeleton I am part of the management team. As the four-headed MT we are responsible for setting team policies, designing ideal working conditions, and presenting the team to the outside world.

During my studies I choose for the minor International Entrepreneurship and Developement. The minor focuses on having impact with smart enterepreneurial solution in developing countries.Troughout my time in Ghana I focused on promoting and selling the Join the Pipe water bottle. The bottle is made out of sugarcane and thus CO2 negative. We pitched the bottle to multiple hotels who currently give their guests non-reusable plastic bottles. Furthermore we taught schoolchildren about the damage caused by plastic waste and ways in which they can reduce the harm. Lastly we constructed a partnership with a local NGO.

At SimonRS we were developing an application which allows a surveyor to manage multiple vessels on land. Prior a surveyor had to be physically present on the vessel. The application contains an interface with camera feeds and other information such as real time data. I was responsible for developing both on the frontend and backend as well as managing the development team to make sure everything ran smoothly.

During my team at Studio 418 I was responsible for the back-end development for medium to major size companies. I was part of a very cohesive team. It was a really fun and valuable experience as my first computer science related job.

During my 5th year of secondary school I spent my free time building a robot in a team. We set up the student team from scratch, building a foundation for our fellow students. Since we launched the team in 2017, 3 new teams have carried on our work and the 4th is being recruited as in 2020. I was mainly responsible for writing all the software for the robot. Our hard work secured us 2 Dutch Championship awards and a place in the World Championships in Detroit, USA.
