Working on Study Startup, an application built on Veeva’s Vault platform. Study Startup helps organizations manage the processes involved in starting up a clinical trial.

Developing software that automatically extracts enzymatic reaction data from scientific research articles using natural language processing and cheminformatics. Technical tasks to complete the project include scraping training data from enzyme databases, tagging chemical entities in the training data, building a cheminformatics pipeline to validate reactions with chemical logic, and prompt engineering GPT to extract reactions from literature.

Worked on Veeva's document classifiers with the Clinical AI Team.Created a tag to automatically mark misclassified documents. Debugged a production issue on AWS regarding a memory error with simultaneous loading and unloading of models. Optimized tokenizer serialization, resulting in ~100x improvements to memory and model load time.

Researched novel technical Web3 topics, including smart contract efficiency, zero-knowledge rollups, and multiparty computation. Analyzed risks and defensibility of each topic to help inform general partners’ investment choices.

Researched the GDF-11 protein using computational biology and machine learning. Developed alignment scripts to compare GDF-11's gene sequence and protein structure to similar proteins. Fed results into a pre-trained NN to predict functionality. Found evidence to support age-related claims made about GDF-11, such as its ability to increase hippocampal neurogenesis.
