My internship is taking place at Doug's Auto Repair. My Grandpa, being the business owner, is my mentor and allows me to work and learn how to be a mechanic. I first learned about this business because my dad works full time there along with my uncle. They were the first people to tell me about the internship because they both went to Orem High and took the same class. I have developed lots of different skills including communication skills while working with customers, problem solving skills when something doesn't go the way it's supposed to. During school I participate in classes relating to my internship like welding. During the class I learn how to use machinery and learn how to weld using different machines and materials. I really enjoy all of the automotive related things and hope to continue on my Grandpa's legacy.
