Throughout my 3 years of active duty, I have had a chance to learn about the diversity of the United States, understand my skillset, and developed my personal character. I was a Cargo Specialist MOS code 88H in the Army. I am in the middle of a transition from DoD to DHS. The Army gave me a chance to work with US Customs in Germany through a training rotation back in 2020. DEFENDER 2020 was the name for that operation. I came back to the country and I was one of the 4 soldiers who receive an achievement medal among 170 soldiers in the unit. That was one of the proudest moments in my life as a Private First Class. I earned my Project Manager certificate in May 2022, I was not a big fan of going to school but I am willing to spend time wisely on developing my knowledge. Currently, I am enrolled in American Military University in order to complete my Associate of Arts. I am a proud Vietnamese-American.
