Based at KNCV The Hague, The Netherlands, I provided technical assistance to national TB programs on strategic planning and programming. As the global community works to end the TB epidemic, the most pressing challenge is that 3 million people with TB are either undiagnosed or diagnosed but not notified. Therefore we must prioritise finding and linking people with TB to person-centered care and promote effective, safe, affordable and shorter (preventive) treatment regimens. I am particularly proud to have been a member of the team that developed the People Centered Framework with funding from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Lilongwe, Malawi

I provided technical assistance on Public Private Partnership, Results Based Financing and Infection Prevention and Control initiatives by collaborative local partners, managed by the Ministry of Health of Malawi. He participated in several national Technical Working Groups (e.g. M&E) and Joint Assessments of National Plans and Strategies. He was one of the founding fathers of the Service Level Agreements a contractual public private partnership to make the essential health package of services accessible and affordable in CHAM health facilities.I also held the position as acting Health Secretary for the Episcopal Conference of Malawi from 2007-2009.

I was responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of public health interventions. He was a member of the local government health management team, responsible for the development and implementation of Health Sector Plans for the city of The Hague and Groningen. His areas of focus were vulnerable populations such as migrants, sex workers, people with a substance dependency or psychiatric condition facing social protection and access to health-care barriers.
