Lead all maintenance strategies and maintenance personnel for the different stationary plants: Crushing, Heap Leaching, Mill (Grinding, Gravity, and Flotation), ADR and Refinery.Accountable for Maintenance KPIs: Availability, Reliability and Cost. Responsible for achieving safety objectives or the team. Responsible for small to medium capital improvement projects.

Lead mechanical maintenance results: availability, reliability and costs. Lead maintenance continuous improvement projects, suggesting, testing and approving new materials and/or components. Lead in conjunction with the Chief Planner all revisions and improvements to the shutdowns and overall maintenance strategies

Evaluation and supervision of all Plant´s continuous improvement projects (reliability, mantainability and safety) for the Maintenance Department.Manage all predictive maintenance strategies (execution, revision and improvements) at the Plant.Responsible of the Maintenance Department CAPEX budget (planning, financial evaluation, approval and follow-up), including major equipment at the Mine and at the Plant. People reporting: 2 Predictive Maintenance Analysts, 1 Reliability Engineer, 1 Plant Engineer and 2 CAD Technitians + contractors.

Ensure that all planned and unplanned maintenance required work is done effectively and efficiently for Mo/Bi Plant, Reagent Plants, Thickeners and Reclaim areas. Supervised team of 16 trade personnel (2 shifts) + contractors. Responsible for crew safety, compliance with maintenance directives, maintenance budget and equipment reliability and availability. Accountable for maintenance budget of 1.2US$MM/year.• Zero Lost Time Incidents in the area since arrival, previous record was 8 month.• Commissioned on time and on budget the Extended/Scavenger Moly/Bismuth flotation circuit fast-track-project, which improved plant capability by 10%. The tasks included working closely with maintenance planning to review maintenance strategies of modify/new equipment, approve/reject out of standard materials and/or order modifications to comply with plant standards.• Helped Improve Mo/Bi Filter plant from 92% to 95 %in 2005 and from 95% to 96% in 2006 without additional maintenance costs.• Improved MTBF of Moly/Bismuth regrind circuit from 1 month to 8 months, in 2005.

Recommended best approach to solve repetitive maintenance problems in order to improve maintainability of equipment, based on the feed back of Maintenance Foremen and Maintenance Planners.• Improved feeding conveyor to mill chute lock-out device reducing shut-down time for SAG Mill in 2 hours. Estimated annual maintenance and production savings US$1MM/year.• Complete engineer, from concept to detailed, of new design discharge chutes for 3 Ball Mill, improving wear liners life from 1.5 month to 12 month. Material and Labor cost savings US$35m/year. Non schedule shutdown cost savings US$200m/year.• Redesigned several piping circuits in the flotation circuit, including changes on path, spool size and/or material to address early wear and lack of standardization problems.

Assist with identification and rectification of equipment failures on critical equipment using a wide range of tools (Kepner Tregoe Situation Appraisal, Decision Making, Problem Analysis and various Root Cause Analysis techniques). Develop maintenance strategies and maintenance tasks for new equipment installations by means of Life Cycle Costing Analysis and Failure Modes Effects Analysis. Review existing maintenance tasks for selected installations to evaluate the effectiveness of the maintenance strategy, make revisions as appropriate using current reliability philosophy. • Participate in achieving the objective of the newly established Central Reliability Engineering Group of enabling savings of CAD$1.0 million, over an 8 months period.
