Primarily worked on the analysis pipeline for NGS Genomics workflows. Created scalable high-throughput pipelines utilizing AWS step functions and AWS batch. Researched data pipelining frameworks to be adopted and supported by the software development-- this process culminated in adopting Prefect-- I rewrote the QC pipeline (previously written in NextFlow) in this framework, utilizing kubernetes as the workflow executor. Additionally, I created ci/cd workflows in gitlab to facilitate this transition. During my tenure here, I also gained experience with the following AWS services/offerings: FSX, ec2, s3, ECR, EKS. I also gained experience with the following bioinformatics tools/workflows: humann2, fastQC, bowtie2, burst(aligner), qiime.

Converted legacy print sites from Hammer Direct to the Bernard Group’sordering platform, Collaterate. Redesigned dozens of templates to work with another web-to-print solution, edoc. Updated product specs and pricing to match The Bernard Groups standards.Wrote a javascript library to enhance the UI and functionality of our form-based template solution. This facilitated the creation of templates that would have otherwise been considered too unwieldy or complex. Pioneered new approaches to add functionality and value to client storefronts. This included revamping default storefront html/css templates to a responsive design allowing them to scale from desktop to mobile ui.

Crafted templates using Pageflex for various web-to-print adstores. Programmed comprehensive solutions to complex problems involving the customization of digital assets for print marketing and direct mail campaigns. Wrote template actions to meet client document customization needs on a granular level.Designed, wrote, and implemented a backend web application (using .net MVC) that aggregated order information from over a dozen separate pageflex e-commerce sites, which allowed orders to be processed centrally, streamlining the production process.Built add-on extensions for Pageflex storefront to satisfy specific clientrequests, and augment ordering site functionality.

Taught the art of cartooning to children (between the ages of 9-14) for the Edina Art Center, both as a standalone class and as part of their summer art camps.Constructed a curriculum suited for a class that would meet for several hours each week, providing students with technical instruction, structured content, and responding to their artistic development by assigning new, challenging tasks designed to foster creative growth.
