I am working with the Railroad Deveopment Corporation on deploying Pop-Up Metro, a simple deployable transit system for existing trackage in urban areas. Utilizing near-compliant rolling stock, my role is pretty complicated: I write grants for the project, I identify and collaborate with private and public stakeholders for potential routes where Pop-Up Metro can be deployed, I work on regulatory documents, serve on industry committees (APTA, AAR, ASLRRA), among more. I am well versed in FRA sections of the Code of Federal Regulations which come in handy frequently for both Pop-Up Metro and other RDC holdings such as Ferrocarril Central Andino (Peru), Norddeutsche Eisenbahn Gesellschaft (Germany), and of course the Iowa Interstate Railroad (USA).Recently, I have been working on technical projects for RDC involving RailPulse and the Iowa Interstate Railroad hoping to advance railcar sensor technology and shift the rail industry into the 21st century while maintaining the systems that have led RRs to being the powerhouse they are. Oh and I’m a ball boy for the Pittsburgh Pirates.Life goal: save the earth, more trains, get rid of the DH, start an oyster farm, hike the AT.Let's connect!
