Growing with Beam over five years gave me the most opportunity of my career to date. What began as a key account for a few custom products lead to scaling a successful business in a way that many of us hope to achieve during our careers. During the meteoric rise of Beam, I was responsible to the team for overseeing all things operations, starting first as the Director of Innovation and departing as the Senior Director of Product Operations. I was responsible for everything product - from formulation to fulfillment - a unique opportunity to produce a tailored experience for our customers. Driving product from concept to door gave Beam the ability to be nimble, try, fail and iterate faster than any business I've worked at in my career. This position lead me to get an NSF Certificate for Dietary Supplement Labeling and Clinical Trial Claims Substantiation, gave me an in depth knowledge of powdered supplement manufacturing, and built an extensive network of high quality vendors and suppliers that support the best brands in the nation.Overseeing product pushed me to build systems that were oriented to team goals with high transparency, allowing for broad discussions and quantified decision making. Solutions included lot specific cost of goods, comptrolling, laboratory testing standards, product specification sheets, labeling compliance, purchase forecasting, fulfillment monitoring, freight logistics and marketing compliance.I truly value the contribution I was able to make at Beam and know that the business will continue to thrive, thanks in part to the work my team accomplished.
