    My role is a project manager on the implementation of a program which will not only effect all staff in the Cabinet Office but staff in 15 other departments. This program has heavily impacted the day to day work of professional users in areas such as HR and Finance, as they use the system for running reports and all HR functions. My role was to liase with SSCL (the company which produces the program) and CO staff to ensure that when the program went live it contained features our staff… Show more My role is a project manager on the implementation of a program which will not only effect all staff in the Cabinet Office but staff in 15 other departments. This program has heavily impacted the day to day work of professional users in areas such as HR and Finance, as they use the system for running reports and all HR functions. My role was to liase with SSCL (the company which produces the program) and CO staff to ensure that when the program went live it contained features our staff required and was set up in a way which was easy to understand and user friendly. My role was varied as it involved other such tasks as editing the CO intranet to ensure all staff was aware of the update, that they had enough information on how to use the new system, and that all the forms they required would be easy to find and the guidance to complete the forms was comprehensive and coherent. I also gave presentations to all finance members and the finance director of the CO about the upcoming program change. I worked on updating a large number of complicated spreadsheets to take them from thousands of lines to easily digested formats. I also had to ensure that each building used by the CO had enough visual communications as well as post go-live support staff. After the program went live (and was a success) I was given the sole responsibility of maintaining the support inbox, set up for staff who are finding problems with the system and are having trouble working the new system. This involves a large amount of coordination between my personal knowledge of the system, CO subject matter experts, IT experts and SSCL defect testers. This position involved a large amount of work developing and maintaining spreadsheets for the underwriters as well motivating the assistants to complete their work in a timely manner in a high pressure environment.
