Mechanical engineer (by education), but in recent years I've been working in the renewable energy industry with a focus on solar. With that, I've become a licensed electrician and certified in medium voltage. In general, I'm interested in all things technical!My current role is Project Delivery Manager at Continental Energy Solutions (CES). This role involves bridging the gap between field personnel, project managers and engineering. This work can have a major positive impact on the communication, timeline, and quality of a project. Additionally, I help with the QAQC process and the commissioning process.Prior to CES, I worked for 5 years at Rethink Electric in a variety of different roles, including VP of Preconstruction, Technical Director, VP of Operations, Commercial Field Supervisor, Foreman, Electrician, Lead Designer and Preconstruction Manager.Prior to the solar industry, I worked in a variety of engineering roles in the aerospace, biomedical and filtration industries.I've worked for a variety of different companies in the past, and I enjoy combining different skills to come up with efficient solutions. I also like applying creativity to the tasks at hand to come up with innovative solutions. This is evident in my long-term goal of converting my VW Golf to become a vegetable oil/electric hybrid vehicle!My previous experience is in the following areas: - Machine design and filtration (SmartFlow Technologies) - Renewable energy manufacturing (OpenHydro) - Biomedical manufacturing (Becton Dickinson) - Aerospace manufacturing (Electroimpact) - Aviation repair (Aero Controls)In summary, I'm a mechanical engineer with a strong interest in electricity, renewable energy and energy efficiency. I'm also interested in other areas of mechanical engineering such as machine design, automation, automated manufacturing, automobiles, etc. And in typical engineering fashion, if I'm presented with a problem, I tend to focus 100% of my brain power until I come up with a great solution!Cumulatively, I have 9+ years of engineering/technical experience.
