Founder of DecisionScience • Resident Behavioural Economist at We Are Unity • University Lecturer at UTS Sydney • Advisory Board Member at JanuaBut now real talk.Welcome to my LinkedIn. I love gaining powerful new insights about why people behave one way, rather than another. I am a behavioural scientist. Originally from Germany, I've had the opportunity to live and work in Sweden, France, and Spain. I am now proud to call Australia home.My current work involves researching whether Australians trust their banks’ AI algorithms enough to forego autonomy and are willing to delegate decision-making. I am testing how commitment devices can help those struggling with self-control issues, and whether digital in-app nudges can improve credit card repayment in the private banking sector.I am teaching and designing Behavioural Decision Making micro-credentials for anyone that is interested to learn more about how we humans make decisions. These micro-credentials are offered as part of the Master in Behavioural Economics, and Master and of Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation at UTS Sydney. Alongside my academic work, I've gained industry experience working in the behavioural economics team of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where I've helped to drive evidence-based insights to improve Australians' financial wellbeing.I am We Are Unity's resident behavioural economist where we combine creative thinking and behavioural science to drive behaviour change. In my free time you find me out in the deep blue ocean, whether that’d be surfing, spearfishing or just exploring some new beaches. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in collaborating, need help with a project or just want to go for a surf.
