I have been in the Golf Industry for 4.5 years, and have worked from the ground up. I started as a casual employee looking for golf benefits, and now I am the Head Starter that manages and supervises 12-14 employees, assist in the Pro Shop operations as an Assistant Golf Professional, and handle all of the Golf Club Repair at Oahu Country Club. I am also in the PGA PGM Program, and aspiring to obtain my PGA Membership. I have displayed great customer and member service, while also leading, supervising, and motivating my outside services crew. Since I have taken the position as Head Starter, there has been an increase in member satisfaction(Leading the entire club in satisfaction ratings), reduced labor costs due to a few personel and operational changes, and increased departmental collaboration. I am a very motivated individual, and I use all of my prior experiences in a few other trades that I have worked in, to help my decisions and ongoing operational plans. My prior job experiences are in construction and food and beverage. I also have worked at Jiffy Lube as the Customer Service Supervisor. In construction I have worked as a Carpenter, Mason, Plumber and have driven Heavy Machinery. I tried to start a small handyman business that became unsuccessful due to recession. I have also worked at a few good restaurants, and started on my own as a Personal Chef. It was a great experience, and I made a living doing that for about 2 years. Then shorty after I started working in the Golf Industry.
