I started out with Shell as a computer operator and worked my way up through the ranks to Supervisor, Operations. During that time and finished college at Oklahoma State University. I took a programming assignment and worked supporting numerous financial and billing applications before working on the Descriptive billing project. I was transferred to Houston Information Center in July of 1983. I supported financial and treasury applications as well as automating the cash system to collect Shell cash at service stations by electronicaly pulling the money from the banking system. I had numerous leadership positions with Shell from Supervisor, Programmer Group Leader, Help Desk Manager, Project Management for automated scheduling and offshoring support work from Shell. I then put a group together that was the first line support for Basic System support. I was named Customer Service Manager during the remaining 3 years with Shell, for Shell Services,Shell Chemical Company, and Shell financial.
