I have been working since the age of 16 full time in various roles and picking up a lot of key skills along the way. I started out as a warehouse operative then after 4 years I moved to dlc which I learnt the roles as a Customer Consultant and Trace Investigator. Throughout the 10 years I spent at dlc and the last year fluctuating between departments to help the company out. I have built up a vast knowledge of customer care - phone experience - business knowledge & compliance experience. For 2 years I have also been doing the role as a retained firefighter down at brackley station to which I have had to undergo and pass various examinations both physical and written. I have hosted lessons and given PowerPoint presentations to cadets. After being in some of the worse scenarios imaginable whether it is a person trapped inside a car which is caused by a Road Traffic Collision or rescuing a person from a burning building. This role has taught me to have a methodical approach to everything and being able to work well under intense pressure. I have trained and passed all my exams on the college course for a prison officer. As I have been a live officer no day is the same you are responsible for managing and keeping safe the prisoners on your wing/spur. Making sure they go off to work or education or sign post them in the right direction. Currently There are days were I am managing about 60 prisoners on a spur to which you will have to adapt quickly to the situation at hand whether it is backing up your colleague in a hostile situation or looking after a prisoner who is suicidal. My role is a demanding role but other time I have learnt to adapt. I have worked for this establishment for around five years also obtaining the skills as an RPE Instructor which is a Respiratory Protection Equipment instructor teaching my Colleagues and Piers correct Health and Safety techniques. Too safely put out cell fire's and snatch grab rescue techniques in a hostile environment. After leaving my role at HMP Bullingdon I have been lucky enough to land a role working for Barclays as a Senior Chargeback Advisor dealing with merchants on a daily basis. In this role I teach merchants the best way to defend there business and to stop fraudsters exploiting a vulnerability in the businesses infrastructure. I explain to merchants on the best way to defend against a chargeback and what type of evidence is needed to successfully defend there case. Over this past year I have gained the trust and respect off a lot of my merchants and helped make there company more secure!
