Manages and participates in the development and implementation of IT strategic plans; formulates and develops plans, policies and projects programs to meet long-term technology needs; performs long-term budget and cost analyses; reviews and evaluates feasibility of major projects and initiatives; works with managers and technical staff to plan for implementation new systems; participates in the study of new technology to determine its utility, consistency with technology standards, relevance for meeting business and operational requirements and expected return on investment; may serve as initial project manager for major IT projects.

Process Manager over Application Development. Development teams consist of over 80 developers, both state FTE and contractors, and six supervisors. Responsible for all new development of business program automation programs as well as two major ERP systems.

Supervise the Deployment and Support team for Child Support Enforcement's Automated Management System (CAMS), an ERP system using SAP core components. SAP components included CRM, BW, and Portals. Deployment and Support team responsibilities include technical and development support, triage higher-level support calls, as well as technical liaison between the implementation vendor, department IT staff, business analysts, and business owners.

Responsible for coordinating, resolving and facilitating the operation, enhancement and maintenance of computer and network resources at the headquarters level and for the five regional offices of the Child Support Enforcement Program. This includes both local and remote supervision of a team of technical staff in charge of Novell NetWare networks, Windows 98/2000, GroupWise support, mainframe connectivity, and application support of such products as MS Office 97/2000.

Primary responsibilities include planning and administration of SAP R/3 in a Unix/Oracle environment required for ongoing ERP project. Monitor SAP environment and performance, tune and troubleshoot as needed. Provide NetWare and GroupWise support to Basis team and supervisor. Define and maintain system documentation and operational procedures. Administer systems schedules (backups, downtime, client copies, and upgrades.) Provide technical support to functional areas, business analysts, and developers.
