Working for a small company has allowed me develop a broad-based background – I’ve been able to hone my engineering skills, while gaining expertise and knowledge in project management and sales. I enjoy job diversity and the opportunity to learn and grow while providing value to my employer. One of my strongest skills is my ability to bridge the gap between customers and technical personnel. I ask the right questions and listen carefully to guide the discovery process and uncover the details of their project or problem. From there, I bring together the right people – internal and external – to work through finding innovative solutions. I am able to envision the big picture, without loosing track of the small details, allowing me to take the best steps to reach a successful end result. What sets me apart from other engineers is my ease in communicating technical concepts to those with non-technical backgrounds. By stripping out the jargon and explaining concepts clearly and concisely, our customers understand the process and outcomes to expect. On the flip side, I excel at communicating with engineers to ensure they understand and can respond to customers’ pain points.Customers appreciate my prompt replies, attentiveness, and follow through regardless of the size of their account. This focus applies to both domestic and international customers with vast time zone differences. As a proactive leader and team participant, I am not afraid to tackle challenges, learn new skills, or take the initiative to get things done. Taking a common-sense approach to problem situations and with the vision to see how a project should unfold, I can recognize when change is needed and quickly make it happen.
