I work with the Propulsion sub team to design and manufacture the grain geometry for an O-class motor set to fly in the 2025 Spaceport America Cup, and another O-class motor set to fly in the team wide High Altitude Project. I design and manufacture motor casting hardware, process casted grains and integrate them into rocket motor hardware. Additionally, I simulate motor and propellant combinations and analyze thrust curves with the openMotor software.

-Participated in the manufacturing and integration of an O-class rocket motor that competed in the 2024 Spaceport America Cup competition. -Participated in motor tests such as hydrostatic pressure tests that reached 2400 psi and static fire tests that reached over 900 psi and burned for around 3 seconds. -Attended and contributed to weekly propulsion subteam meetings.-Participated in the design, manufacturing, assembly, and launching of high powered test rockets, including the first two-stage rocket launched by the University of Minnesota Rocket Team. -Machined components of various rockets and motor casting hardware. -Attended and contributed to weekly special projects subteam meetings.

-Led R&D and engineering projects with the maintenance department at the MRZ division of ATI Specialty Rolled Products with the goal of optimizing production and spatial efficiency. -Connected with several company suppliers and contractors in order to gain a broader knowledge of ATI's machinery and material flow path, and how these can be optimized to consistently deliver the best product available. -Worked directly with company technicians to implement mechanical improvements to machines. -Evaluated several engineering diagrams of the electrical schematics for the entire Monaca facility with the intent of evaluating how much electrical power was available for new machinery-Held a design review meeting with several supervisors and managers to determine and finalize details of the optimal installation plan of a 60,000 psi water jet cutter-Created weekly reports to keep managers and supervisors up to date with day-to-day ventures. -Presented accomplishments and learning experiences to several members of management in ATI Specialty Rolled Products
