Participated in public order response tasks to include large scale protests, out of control gatherings and serious prison riots including Acacia prison riot in 2022. In this role I voluntarily qualified as public order response tactics training instructor to contribute to the maintenance of the capability within the division. Facilitated safety briefings and de-briefings surrounding numerous training scenarios involving multiple persons and dangerous policing-based scenarios including the use of incendiary devices and confined spaces. Adhered to safe practices to facilitate effective training to all involved. Qualified as FIST Police training suit user. In addition to this, I coordinated with external agencies including the State Emergency Service, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and St John’s Ambulance.In 2012 I completed an 8-month placement at the Central Metropolitan District Crime Team focused on investigating burglary, motor vehicle theft and drug related offences. As part of my role in this unit as an investigator I executed search warrants under various legislative authorities including but not limited to the Criminal Investigation Act 2006 and the Misuse of Drugs Act 1981 resulting in the successful apprehension of offenders. I also provided an investigative response to serious incidents occurring within the Central Metropolitan District.
