Mechanical Process Lead
Responsible for product process development at NPI phase, mainly including process evaluation, development, verification and improvement for dimension, cosmetic and reliability Spec definition: Helped designer to define spec on 2D and each process Tooling evaluation and approval for plastic product, which is the pre-process of MIM Technical details approval: Evaluated all process proposals and made decision after aligning with internal team, approved DFM, PFMEA, tooling design, process flow, and equipment selection etc. Definition on inspection: approval for MSOP, SIP, QCP etc. Qualification: Qualified vendors on dimension (FAI, CPK, assembling), cosmetic (defect limit sample), onsite production line review and approval for fixture, gauge, SOP, SIP, CP etc. Schedule monitoring: Reviewed and monitored project schedule (especially specific build plan) on component vendor, coordinated schedule with vendors and supply chain team Guideline and communication: Communicated and led vendors to achieve goal of each build Capacity improvement: drove vendors to improve yield and reduced C/T for each process Leadership: Guided colleagues on metal process developing on other projects as process lead Contributions: Developed watch frame for 3 projects, successfully transferred to MP. Processes included MIM (molding, debinding, sintering), restriking, CNC, forging, stamping, polishing, sandblasting, PVD, anodization, passivation, laser etching and assembling etc.
