Production Vehicles:- Responsible for all aspects of vehicle aerodynamics from initial concept definition through production validation. Perform competitive benchmarking and set program aero targets. Direct CFD engineers to evaluate and develop concepts. Development and testing of 3/8ths scale and full scale wind tunnel models. Optimize vehicle upperbody and underbody for aerodynamic drag and work with design team to implement solutions. Validate production vehicles for correlation to coast-down certification.Motorsports:- Lead wind tunnel development programs for Mopar/Dodge NHRA Funny Car & Top Fuel vehicles. Development and testing of scale wind tunnel models. Full scale wind tunnel testing and verification of vehicle. On-track validation including instrumented testing and flow-visualization.- Support wind tunnel testing of outside motorsports customers including LMP2, GT3, NASCAR, & NHRA. Coordinate with teams to develop test plans. Design instrumentation setups to meet needs. Manage test logistics. Provide test reports and analysis.

- Plan and execute wind tunnel testing of both full scale and 3/8 scale model vehicles.- Product development.

- Managed a team of 30+ student engineers to design and manufacture vehicle, and to compete in international competition. Oversaw all technical and operational aspects of the team, including goals and timelines, budgets, system integration, and conflict resolution.- Implemented new points-driven method to evaluate the impact of design decisions on overall competition performance.

- Designed vehicle aerodynamic package using Computer Aided Design (CAD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools. Used lap-time simulation tools to evaluate the effect of designs on vehicle performance.- Manufactured composite parts (wet and pre-preg carbon fiber) including wings and monocoque chassis. Developed a process document to retain and build team composites knowledge.- Used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel, and on-track methods to validate and improve aero system performance. Developed new CFD process to improve simulation accuracy and ease of use.
