I have worked within the private and public healthcare sectors for over 20 years in total. In that time I have worked across Devon and London as a registered nurse having graduated from City University with St Barts school of nursing, London in 2011.Over the years I have worked in a number of clinical environments and have been involved with cutting edge research such as the ORBITA-2 trial with world renowned cardiologist Dr Rasha Al- Lamee as well as improving service delivery and safe practice in line with WHO guidelines regarding invasive procedures. This has been within a number of cardiology centres including Imperial College, Barts and The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS trusts.I have also been employed by a leading care provider in the UK, Barchester, as a senior nurse in one of their homes for a short time to assist in improving their service to enable a positive CQC inspection which they obtained.I have been a charge nurse with the NHS auditing KPIs and ensuring the best possible standard of care was delivered as well as facilitating safe and timely discharges. Also managing staff absence, sickness and a safe skills mix when on shift whilst also liaising with the doctors daily to keep abreast of patient wellbeing and conditions.After experiencing first hand the struggles the NHS faces every day to facilitate safe discharges of patients as a result of a vast lack of community beds, I knew something had to change. With an industry where too many poor quality care agencies exist only for the financial gains and clients/service users being treated in an undignified, way I decided to act and Chrysalis Homecare Ltd was born.
