Both internet and floor sales. The direction this industry has taken is 100% toward internet sales. The client does not have the time, nor the want to have to go to several dealers in order to get the best price. They now can go online and have everything, models, pricing, incentives all at there disposal. This creates a different deal process. I am well versed in sales at this point that no matter the layout, or the structure, I will make it fit to where in the end I am the salesman earning the clients business.

Front line sales. Demo product, assess client to find out what it is specifically they are looking for. Show numbers, then close the deal and deliver the vehicle. This specific position in this specific region meant dealing with a certain demographic of client, very specific and at most times very knowledgeable of the product. What I do not do is take shortcuts or cut corners to do so. I believe in, if the person likes you, you might get the sell that one time. If the client trusts you, they will be a client for life. Bottom line, to describe me as far as work. If given an opportunity or chance by someone even though I may not have all the skills or accolades they are looking for, my work ethic will show and at the same time answer the question whether or not it was a good decision to give me that opportunity.

I was a waiter. This restaurant was definitely one of the top establishments in Fresno. A long standing reputation with the community, which brought a lot of business. We ran a short staff which created a team environment. If you saw something that needed to be done even if it’s not your job or someone else did it, you help and do it. Being the top waiter due to my customer service and work ethic. I did take on a manager roll when the owner/manager would be gone. The clientele was made up of an semi older, very successful kind of people. This gave me the ability to become very comfortable dealing with all types of people at all different levels of financial status. I am great with everyone. I am a nice clean cut honest guy.

This was my first real sales position. Young and ambitious the GM took a chance on me. I worked in the Used Car department which even though is still automotive sales. It is a different game than New Car sales. You have to really build your relationship with the client through great product knowledge, asking the right questions that will give you the info you need to help make the deal. Finally, but probably most important, the ability to overcome objections, which is a staple in new and used, but in used you only have the one vehicle like that. No other colors or options to make an identical match. Quality is vehicle, might not have every option customer wanted, and also getting people approved is more difficult on pre owned. This job did give me the confidence that I am a very good salesman. That I can sell, and be a top salesman anywhere selling anything and I will thrive because I hold the same confidence in my ability and myself.
